The pagoda was built in Dien Dong A Hamlet, Vinh Trach Dong Commune, Bac Lieu town in 1887.
I/ XIEM CAN PAGODA INFORMATION
Location: The Xiem Can Pagoda is located 7km from the town of Bac Lieu, on the same road that leads to the Bac Lieu Bird Sanctuary.
Characteristics: This Khmer pagoda is over a century old, and was built, carved, and decorated in an original ethnic style.
It is 12km from the town center toward the South-east and its total area is 43,790 m2. At present, the pagoda still remains the traditional architecture of Khmer’s people and many ancient statues, sculptures of Buddha, etc.
